Rohit Bhargave, MD., is an expert in the field of breast pathology;
Dr. Bhargava is currently an Associate Professor of Pathology at the University
of Pittsburgh, School of Medicine (UPMC). He serves as Co-Director of Surgical Pathology
at Magee-Womens Hospital. He is also the Medical Director of the
Histotechnology School at UPMC. Dr.
Bhargava’s is well published in the field of breast cancer and has received the
prestigious Stephen Vogel award of the U.S. and Canadian Academy of Pathology. His
research interests include identifying novel diagnostic and prognostic markers
for invasive and in situ breast cancer, as well as identifying site of origin
for "carcinoma of unknown primary" using immunohistochemistry and
other ancillary techniques, amongst others.
