MIris Schrijver, MD is a Professor of Pathology and Pediatrics at Stanford University. She directs the diagnostic Molecular Pathology laboratory at Stanford University Medical Center and Lucile Packard Children's Hospital, as well as the Molecular Genetic Pathology fellowship program. She is also Associate Program Director for residency training in Clinical Pathology.


Dr. Schrijver received her medical degree from the University of Utrecht in The Netherlands. At Stanford she completed a post-doctoral research fellowship, training in Clinical Molecular Genetics, and residency training in Clinical Pathology.


She is a diplomat of the American Board of Medical Genetics and of the American Board of Pathology. Dr. Schrijver has approximately 59 publications in molecular diagnostics, has been invited to numerous speaking engagements in her career and is past-president of the Association for Molecular Pathology. Her research interests include genotype-phenotype correlations in cystic fibrosis and hereditary hearing loss, and the application of diagnostic innovations.
